Among many other activities, our parents have focused their energy and resources to support public health studies at the University of New Mexico.

 

The Larry and Nedra Gordon Endowment for Environmental Health

The second endowment for the Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center was established by our parents in 2006 to support new initiatives in the area of environmental health.  Our mom and dad are both graduates of the University of New Mexico.  Our father is the former NM Cabinet Secretary for Health and Environment and served as President of the American Public Health Association.  In addition, our parents provided funding to process and digitize our father's unpublished presentations and letters, and to create an online “Donors Hall” on the HSLIC website, which will provide web-based access to scholars interested in our father's contributions to the area of environmental health.
